Each summer, water polo athletes from across the country make their way to Malibu Water Polo Camp—a premier training destination for players ages 10–19 looking to elevate their game, learn from elite coaches, and build lifelong relationships in the sport. Hosted at Pepperdine University’s iconic Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, this camp blends world-class instruction with a resilient team culture and unforgettable Southern California experience.
What Makes Malibu Water Polo Camp Special
Malibu Water Polo Camp offers multiple sessions throughout the year with options ranging from 4-day and 5-day camps to weekend intensives and seasonal holiday clinics. View Camp Sessions Here. Whether attending during the summer or over a holiday break, campers receive focused in-water training on fundamentals, tactics, and position-specific skills—all designed to help them prepare for high school, club, or collegiate competition.
Coaching staff includes Olympian and elite level water polo veterans such as six-time Olympian Terry Schroeder and three-time Olympian Merrill Moses, who bring decades of competitive experience to every drill, session, and strategic breakdown. Campers also benefit from talks on college recruiting, Olympic journeys, and nutrition—adding valuable context to the physical training.
The camp’s schedule typically includes rigorous pool sessions in the morning and afternoon, scrimmages, tactical talks, and small-group instruction that helps athletes improve in every facet of the game.
